Why Julius Joachim?

The "Signature Julius Joachim 1" model was developed in close collaboration with trombonist Julius Joachim and is aimed at musicians who are looking for a balanced, centered sound with clear articulation in all registers.

Technical specifications:

  • Inner diameter: 25.5 mm (corresponds to approx. 1.004 in), comparable to size 5G
  • Bore: 7.2 mm
  • Rim: Model JJ1 – comfortable, supports endurance, precise articulation, and good flexibility

The newly developed lower part ensures a full, round, and centered sound. The combination of the specially tuned JJ1 rim, the cup shape, and the 7.2 mm bore enables an orchestral sound without unwanted background noise.

Note: This mouthpiece was specifically developed with the JJ1 rim. We recommend testing it in this configuration first before considering alternative rim shapes. Sometimes a new approach opens up unimagined tonal possibilities.
