The mouthpiece should always be cleaned with suitable products so as not to damage the galvanic surface. A mouthpiece cleaner, warm water together with a brush and a dry cloth are the best care products.

Yes. Reprocessing of old and heavily used mouthpieces is important and correct, depending on their condition. A dirty or damaged surface can lead to skin inflammation or fever blisters.

This depends on how carefully you treat your mouthpiece and what optical condition you are aiming for. However, a used, refurbished mouthpiece will NEVER be in the same condition as a new part.

Depending on the initial condition and the desired surface finish, refurbishments usually cost between €20 and €60.

A new gilding starts at €23 and can cost up to €100, as to produce a flawless gilding the underlayer has to be freshly polished and pre-silvered.
