The tuba mouthpiece
The tuba can look back on a 150-year tradition in the Vienna orchestra. Apparently, the clocks in Viennese orchestras move differently than elsewhere, which explains why for 100 years (1845-1945) only native Germans were engaged as tuba players in the Vienna Philharmonic.
The horn mouthpiece
Horn mouthpieces have a high status in our workshop and are closely linked to personalities of the Viennese music scene. Professor Robert Freund was connected with Karl Breslmair sen. by a great friendship.

Flugelhorn underpart - F9
The flugelhorn mouthpiece with the shallowest cup depth. Based on our trumpet model G3. The cup is more open in the transition area to the bore and thus already meets the requirements for a soft and warm tone. Ideal for switching between trumpet and flugelhorn.

Flugelhorn underpart - F8
The flugelhorn version of our successful model for trumpet, the G2. Opening the cup towards the bore gives the tone warmth and carrying power. Insider tip.

Flugelhorn underpart - F7
The original model of our mouthpieces, the G1, could also be used unchanged on the flugelhorn. However, in order to take the flugelhorn sound fully into account, the cup has been slightly modified so that also orchestra players can do justice to their sound idea.

Flugelhorn underpart - F6
The origin of this model lies in our alpine folk music. Weisenblasen is an increasingly popular form of brass music, playing in small groups. The "rubato-cantabile style" can be realised with ease. Excellent suitability also for cornet.

Flugelhorn underpart - F5
This model is rightly to be found in the middle of the model range, as it combines the advantages of a C-shaped cup with the good sound characteristics of the V-shaped cup. Universally applicable, an integral part of folk brass music. Requires a willingness to perform.
